Happy Facial Monday

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Ours was busy but very fun! We did spend a lot of time in the sun, and that got me thinking about moisture! With all the time this Summer in the sun, water, camping, shorts and flip flops galore our skin has taken a beating!

Just because Summer is coming to an end, and soon our exposed skin will be hiding behind a fluffy wool sweater, doesn't mean that we should stop moisturizing! Actually quite the contrary. If we stop and take the time to moisturize our skin now, we will be helping our skin repair, renew, and ready itself for the drying and tightness that occurs with cold weather!

I have some tips for regenerating skin cells, renewing hydration, and helping your skin ease into fall with a healthy Summer glow!

1. After you cleanse your skin it is very important to exfoliate! The sun dries out your skin causing cracking and flaking with a dull lifeless appearance. It is very important to remove those dead skin cells, which will stimulate new growth and prepare your skin to accept the moisture!

  • Rejuvenating Salt Mud exfoliates skin to a silky smoothness, refines skin’s texture and tone, conditions and nourishes skin showing signs of aging, and improves elasticity and firmness!

2. After you have removed the dead skin cells it is important to apply a rich, deeply moisturizing lotion that will continue to improve your skin's texture, tone, and firmness long after you have left the bathroom!

  • Renewing Body Lotion deeply moisturizes the skin keeping it smooth and soft, visibly improves skin’s uneven texture and tone, contains botanicals known to increase skin firmness, and visibly reduces signs of redness and irritation

    3. Take time each week to love on your feet! They are super important, and will be the focus on next week's blog.

4. Drink LOTS of water!!! Your skin is a reflection of what is going on inside your body. If you are dehydrated your skin will show it! The human body is about 60% water in adult males and 55% in adult females. This is a high percentage, our body needs water to be healthy!

Also the more time your skin is exposed to the sun and daily elements the more the moisture is drawn out of your skin. Without water to hydrate, your skin will loose its lipid barrier and look dull, lifeless, clogged, and in return you will use more of your daily products.

So, Hydrate, Hydrate, and Hydrate!!!
