As We Gather

As we gather may Your Spirit work within us

As we gather may we glorify Your name

Knowing well that as our hearts begin to worship

We'll be blessed because we came

We'll be blessed because we came

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases

His mercies never come to an end

They are new every morning

New every morning

Great is Thy faithfulness O Lord

Great is Thy faithfulness O Lord

Blue Jar Update

I would like to introduce you to the newest members of my china collection!

I just couldn't stand it, I had to hunt down my own blue Ball mason jars! I had talked with one of the ladies who runs the community store, she couldn't find the jar I had dropped off, so my search began with ebay. I know that may seem like a cop-out, but time seemed to be of the utmost of importance! Here they are, I feel I got a great price. I looked in a store yesterday and they were selling the same jar for 16.00 and the other for 23.00...I payed 5.00!

Hurray for me!

First Lady in Blue

Second Lady in Blue

I am already in love! Stay tuned for a table filled with pretty pretties, and great dish display!

Oh, and side note...the community cupboard called a day later, they found my original jar...hehe, so now I have three! Life is just too good to be true!

Happy Monday Facial!

Happy Monday Everyone!
After a really long weekend of saying our goodbyes, I had to start my precious Monday at the crack of dawn! Little fact about me...I don't love early mornings. Maybe if I had a Mora clock waking me up I would feel differently...right? Aren't they beautiful? My boys and I had to rush out the door for a Mommy doctor apt. this morning, so this post is better late than never, right?
I hope you all had a wonderful week, and you've see the improvement from all the repairing! Anyone with fewer wrinkles or less acne? Hope so!
Today our focus is on, the last step, Moisturizer! This is the icing on the cake in my opinion. I love the way my face feels, after all my hard work, when I seal the deal with a small amount of moisturizer. You have put in your time with the cleansing, exfoliation, masking, toner, repairing, and now you get the feeling of luxury smoothing over your clean face! What a great way to start and end your day! Who wouldn't want a face that is smooth, soft, clean, and hydrated?
Remember to choose a moisturizer that matches your skin type, so very important not to weigh down you skin! Also, avoid the skin around your eyes with your normal moisturizer. This skin is very delicate and deserves a light weight moisturizer that is designed for eyes. You will find that if you use both products your make-up will stay put! No running mascara and no make-up caught in the creases of your skin.
Our goal: skin that is soft as a baby's bottom! : ) Lets maintain our youthful appearances as long as we can, take care of your skin and you will be rewarded!
Remember next Monday our skincare challenge ends!

I would love to hear from you, become a follower and leave me a comment! Let me know what you think about the skincare tips.

If you want to be entered into the contest twice blog about the contest!

I will be drawing a winner on Monday the 26th 10:00 AM!

Feeling A Little Blue

Today I am feeling a little blue, my Grandma went to heaven yesterday morning! So in honor of her, "The Canning Queen", I am doing this post!
Recently, when I was helping pack my mom's cupboards, I was offered a vintage blue Ball mason jar. My house is mostly in fall colors, so lacking vision on where I could use the jar, I passed it up! It was given to the community cupboard, and I came home. Since then, I have been bombarded with these blue beauties! Everywhere I turn, someone is using them in their home, garden, etc. I have viewed about 20 blogs in the last two weeks that have included these blue mason jars. So now I am thinking..."oh great, I passed up a decorating must, how silly am I..."

These are my beautiful blue and green dishes! Love them!!!

I actually have a really great use for the jar...in hind sight! I have spent the last ten years collecting dishes that are blue and green. The Ball blue mason jars would be perfect center pieces for a fun summer table! So, I ate humble pie and called the store to see if they by chance still had the jar, and asked if I could buy it back. I am waiting for a call back. If not I guess I am embarking on a collectors hunt for more jars!

Here's to you "Canning Queen," you will be missed! Someday, I WILL have a little blue tribute to you in my house!

French Flea Market

Welcome to an elegant, chic, and inspiring store! The Cranberry Cottage is located in the Country Village in Bothell, WA. I have driven past their previous location several times and have been dying to visit, but with young children timing is everything.

Today I set out, with camera in hand, for a fun adventure with my boys. Playing at the Country Village playground, lunch, and then a tip-toe journey through the store's new and vintage home decor, gifts, and furnishings.

We were graciously greeted and welcomed in, even my boys, by the owner Theresa. She explained that the store had just moved into this new location. I allowed my eyes to settle in, and was visually greeted by several rooms each carrying their own style, color scheme, and feel. I loved the room filled of roosters and red items, two of my favorite things! I snapped a few pictures with the owners permission, I hope you enjoy them!

Theresa, together with her business partner Kelly, are hosting a Cranberry Cottage French Flea Market on Saturday from 10:00am-6:00PM. You won't want to miss this. These two have such an eye for French Cottage decor, I bet you will find something that just has to go home with you! I will be attending with wish list in hand!
